A more powerful Dodge Challenger 2015
While the Dodge Charger advantage of several cosmetic changes, the Challenger receives instead of improvements in (and on!) The hood, at the New York Show.
The Challenger 2015 is visually different, with a new grille, the separated rear lights and new headlights with LED edges.
However, this is at the engines that things get interesting. Indeed, all buyers Challenger who check the automatic transmission will now be entitled to a new Torqueflite 8 reports, whether the SXT version with the Pentastar V6, the R / T model V8 Team HEMI 375 hp, or the new variant Scat Pack, which inherits the V8 6.4-liter HEMI 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque that was previously reserved Challenger SRT.
In addition, the models equipped with a HEMI can be orders with Shaker option, which adds an air entry that comes through the hood, like the Challenger 70 years! This air entry vibrates and moves at the same time as the engine, which gives it its name.
For now, no mention of the SRT version, but rumor has it will perhaps call a supercharged version of the 6.4-liter V8 (baptise Hellcat) to generate even more power … To be continued!
