Aston Martin unveils his first electric model Fast. Note the rims in the drawing is unpublished.

Aston Martin tells us a little more about the upcoming electric model of its sedan Rapid, which is scheduled for 2019. The latter will thus be more efcient than the version Rapid thermal S and could browse the 320 km on a charge.

Although the first shipments of its Fast-will not occur until the fourth quarter of 2019, Aston Martin seems to want to tell us as soon as possible an maximum information about its first electric model. Thus, after the details concerning its battery 800 volts, the british firm speaks to us today of power and performance.

Hence we learn that the two electric motors connected to the rear end develop a total of 610 hp and 950 Nm. Values that exceed those displayed by the Quick S thermal (560 hp) and 630 Nm) and make the Fast very close to a Tesla Model S 100 D (603 hp and 967 Nm).

More powerful than the Fast S

By its performance, the Aston would also be comparable to the american sedan, with a 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) shot down in 4 sec and has a top speed of 250 km/h. of course, the british will play in a whole other category in terms of luxury, with an interior that is more refined than the Model S.

The Fast will be limited to 155 copies, and will make its debut at the end of the year 2019.

The autonomy allowed by the battery to exceed the 320 km according to the new cycle WLTP, with a capacity of 65 kWh. Let us recall that, thanks to its technology 800 volts, the charging thereof can be carried out very quickly. Aston Martin adds that the performance of the vehicle will remain the same, regardless of the level of charge of the battery. The firm illustrates his remarks by asserting that the Fast can travel a full lap of the Nürburgring with the best performance.

Finally, the aerodynamics of the car would have been a lot of work, so that the Fast is more effective than the versions thermals on this plan. Regarding its appearance, it will still have to wait a bit to be able to discover it, even if we can already see the design of the specific rims thanks to the new teaser.
