Here’s the one that could surpass all of the supercars that exist : the Pininfarina OTP.
Pininfarina is preparing a hypercar electric, which promises to be the road car the most powerful available on the market, with over 1900 hp, and acceleration faster than a Bugatti Chiron.
Pininfarina was previously known as body builder independent, with very many cars designed for different brands and in particular for Ferrari. But for 2015, officine Italian is placed under the control of the indian Mahindra and has developed a new constructor, called Automobili Pininfarina. This new entity is currently in the process of developing a hypercar, the characteristics of which promise to surpass all that is registered for the road in terms of performance.
The car, called OTP, will be powered by a (or several) electric motor and will benefit from awd. The powertrain will be provided by the specialist in Croatian Rimac, and will offer a power output of 1928 hp and a torque of 2300 Nm. These data, greater than anything we can find on the market, allow naturally display outstanding performance.
More powerful as a Bugatti Chiron
While the maximum speed exceeds 400 km/h, the 0 to 100 km/h would be shot in less than 2 s, while the 300 km/h would be achieved in less than 12 s. for comparison, a Bugatti Chiron claims, respectively, 2.4 s and 13.1 s on the same exercises. Suffice to say that the effect catapult, accentuated by the instant torque of the electric, should be no common measure…
In spite of these figures are stunning, autonomy would still be sufficient to consider the trips a bit long, with 480 km advertised. In addition, if the batteries used should be fairly consistent, the OTP is expected to remain relatively mild, thanks to the use of a carbon fibre monocoque.
The teaser unveiled by the brand, indo-Italian, we can guess a car with the silhouette very smooth and refined, which is, it appears, the declared objective of the new language of style baptized Pura. This pure line should still incorporate active aerodynamics very accomplished.
The production, which will be in the vicinity of Turin, will be limited to 150 copies , and the first cars should be delivered in the fall of 2020. The price has not yet been announced, but it should no doubt exceed two million euros. The OTP will be unveiled in march next, for the edition in 2019 the Geneva motor show.
