The Skoda Scala is a new compact sedan that will be derived from the concept Vision RS discovered the World of Self-2018.
Skoda unveils the name of its new compact sedan that will be unveiled at the end of the year 2018. It will be called Skoda Scala and will replace the Rapid Spaceback.
Do not call more Rapid Spaceback, but Scala. This is the name chosen by Skoda to name its future compact sedan which will be unveiled by the end of the year 2018. Scala means staircase in latin and seems to show the ambitions of the manufacturer to go up in range on the highly competitive segment of compact sedan. Today, the stars of the market in Europe are the Volkswagen Golf, Peugeot 308 and other Renault Mégane.
It should be noted that the name Scala is already used by Renault since 2010. It is a sedan (a Nissan Sunny rebadgée), sold exclusively on the indian market. This will not pose a problem, given that the Skoda Scala will not be sold on the european soil.

The announcement of the name of its new compact sedan is accompanied with a photo showing a part of the rear hatch. The Scala will be the first model to wear the inscription “Skoda” on the rear window, in place of the logo of the brand.
For the rest, the Skoda Scala will draw heavily from the style of the concept Skoda Vision RS (see below) was discovered during the course of the World Auto 2018. The car will be unveiled by year-end 2018 before arriving in dealerships in the spring of 2019.
